The Academic Novel

My Ph.D dissertation is now complete and available through Proquest. It has also received publishing contracts for 2009 from VDM Publishing, Edwin Mellen Press and the University Press of America.

The title is The British and American Academic Novel: The Professorroamane, The Comic Campus, The Tragic Self. It
discusses British and American fiction of the twentieth century - novels, short stories and plays all about the lives of professors and students. Here the university is essentially tragicomic, beginning as comic but turning darker throughout the twentieth century...

Teaching
I am currently Lecturer in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University in London, as well as Professorial Lecturer in English at the George Washington University, Washington.
